Mara Quinn
Co-founder and the hands behind our signature facials — twenty years of practice, and still the most requested chair in the clinic.
For nearly a decade, Stillwater has been Yorkville's quiet answer to a loud question — how do you get real, visible results without giving up the calm? We never made you choose.
Stillwater opened on Yorkville Avenue in 2017 to bridge two things the city kept stubbornly apart: medical-grade, results-driven skincare, and the unhurried calm of a true spa. One usually felt clinical. The other, indulgent but empty. We wanted both — proof and peace.
The clinic was founded by Dr. Amara Lowe, our Medical Director, and master esthetician Mara Quinn — a partnership of science and touch. Dr. Lowe sets the standard for every advanced protocol; Mara shaped the rituals, the rooms, and the feeling you carry home.
Nine years on, that founding idea hasn't softened. Every treatment is informed by clinical evidence and delivered with the kind of care that makes you forget you're in a treatment chair at all.
Beautiful is not enough. Every protocol is chosen to do something measurable — clearer tone, smoother texture, firmer skin you can see in the mirror, not just feel in the moment.
A Medical Director oversees our advanced work, and our estheticians are CIDESCO-certified. Nothing happens on a hunch — your skin is assessed, the plan is considered, and your safety leads.
We treat stillness as clinical, not decorative. The quiet rooms, the slow pace, the warmth of the space — it isn't an extra. It's half of why the results last.
Led by Medical Director Dr. Amara Lowe, our small, deliberate team has been chosen as carefully as our treatments — for skill, for warmth, and for the patience this work deserves.

Our specialist in injectables and advanced skin — microneedling, peels, the precise work where medical training truly shows.
Body and bodywork — deep-tissue, aromatherapy, and the kind of intuitive pressure that finds the tension you'd stopped noticing.
Tucked above Yorkville Avenue, our suite was built room by room for stillness — soft light, warm stone, sound that never carries. There is no reception bustle, no clinical glare. Just quiet rooms, considered detail, and the sense that, for an hour, the city has been switched off.
I came in for my skin and left feeling like I'd been somewhere far away. The results are real — but it's the calm I keep coming back for.
We'd rather do a few things beautifully than everything adequately. Explore the full menu, or simply book and we'll guide you.
Whether it's your first facial or your fortieth visit, there's a chair waiting and a calm that's already yours.
