The tagliatelle al ragù is the real thing — slow, rich, and clearly made by someone who cares.

Pasta rolled by hand before the doors open, wood-fired pizza blistered at 900°, and a candlelit room that feels like Sunday dinner in Emilia-Romagna.
Verde began the way most good Italian kitchens do — around a family table. Our recipes travelled here from the hill towns of Emilia-Romagna, written in the margins of a grandmother's notebook and softened by three generations of cooks who refused to rush them.
Every morning the pasta is rolled by hand before the doors open — tagliatelle hung to dry, gnocchi pressed by thumb, sheets for lasagne layered thin enough to read through. The ragù simmers low from dawn. Nothing here is in a hurry, and we'd like you not to be either.

No shortcuts and no freezer. Three things happen every single day before we light the candles — in this order.
Flour and egg, worked by hand at dawn. Tagliatelle hung to dry, gnocchi pressed by thumb — long before the first guest arrives.
A low Bolognese simmer from morning to service. San Marzano, soffritto, patience. We taste it, we don't time it.
A wood-fired stone oven runs at 900°. Pizza goes in raw and comes out blistered and smoky in roughly two minutes.
In the room and on the plate — a few frames from a normal night.

That wood-fired pizza came out blistered and smoky in minutes. The Diavola with chili honey is dangerous — easily the best pie on College Street.
We were welcomed like family from the moment we walked in. Candlelight, an unhurried evening, the kind of service that makes you want to stay for hours.
Hand-rolled pasta, a proper Italian list, and a room you don't want to leave. This is what a neighbourhood trattoria should feel like.
Reservations recommended, especially Friday & Saturday evenings.
Candlelight, fresh pasta, and an evening that's in no rush. We'd love to have you at Verde.
